Francesca, you seem to be a thoughtful musician and would make a great educator. Your hunch that ‘children need someone who ….is interested in their general development..’ is right on the money.

Too often music educators sadly put music or musical results first. You must have had great experiences as a child studying piano and it seems as they have obviously left their mark.

Your ideas about making music with everyday objects remind me of a class I took with composer Edward Diemente at The Hartt School of Music in CT. How much fun to record and manipulate sounds using everything from a set of golf clubs to an electric toothbrush!
